Facebook has announced that it will be discontinuing the ability to post new birthday posts on Facebook starting in 2021. This change is due to privacy concerns and the desire for users to focus more on meaningful interactions with friends and family.

Birthdays have been moved from the left-hand side of the Facebook homepage to a new “birthdays” tab.Facebook has updated its layout and as a result, birthdays are now located in a new “birthdays” tab.
One way to get birthday notifications back on Facebook is to go to the “Settings” tab in your profile. Scroll down and click “Birthdays” under the “About You” section. Check the box next to “Birthdays.” This will notify you of any birthdays that are coming up for your friends.
This is a Facebook policy. Facebook does not allow users to change their birthdays because it can lead to people lying about their age and other personal information.
