Cross-check your shipping address: It is essential to verify your shipping address before hitting ‘send’ as one mistake can see your order to end up at the wrong address. Technical errors might also occur and this might see your order sent to the wrong person.
Ask for a signature: Although not all carriers have a provision for a signature, it is advisable to ask for one for your order. This makes it compulsory for a signature to be affixed to the delivery before the delivery can be completed. This might mean you have to be available to sign off on the package but it ensures the package is received by the right person.
Using a lockbox: This helps secure your package but it works with and depends on the trust you have in your delivery driver. The key or code can be shared with the driver and when the delivery has been made, you can retrieve your package.
Using a receptionist or doorman: It might not be logical to use a lock box especially if you live in a condo or apartment. Most condos and apartments employ the services of receptionists or doormen and these can help receive your package or even help in signing for the order.
Time taken for orders to get to their destination is dependent upon the selected shipping speed. Transmit time is measured using only weekdays. Weekends usually do not count towards transmit except there is an option for weekend delivery.
